The latest is from a Salon story from yesterday, entitled: “What if the DNC Russian “hack” was really a leak after all? A new report raises questions media and Democrats would rather ignore.” The story, written by Danielle Ryan, is based on one in The Nation – another very leftist publication. Both are based the report Bill Binney took part in with the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, or VIPS. The bottom line is that a professional forensic report was prepared by an anonymous expert. Former IBM IT exec Skip Folden, who, himself has been a consultant for the FBI, Pentagon, and Justice Dept. served as the liaison between the VIPS group and the anonymous expert, calling himself the Forensicator. Folden and the VIPS experts examined the report, and the evidence, attested to its professionalism, and sent a detailed technical report to Jeff Sessions and Robert Mueller. VIPS states they are sure of two things with a high degree of certainty: #1 that there was no Russian hack of the DNC servers on July 5 – just 5 days before Seth Rich’s murder. And #2, the metadata from a hacker named Guccifer which he released the previous month, on June 15, was “synthetically tainted” with “Russian fingerprints.” The July 5th download is thought by some to have been done by DNC data administrator, Seth Rich. The investigators found that on that day 1,976 megabytes of data were downloaded in 87 seconds. What does that mean? It means that far exceeds an internet capability for a remote hack – much less a transoceanic one.
